Bette Midler recently tweeted out a picture of a Trump rally, saying:

“Look, there are African American men in this shot! How much did he pay them to be “blackground”?”

Cute wordplay, but apparently Bette Midler believes that black people are unable to think for themselves. “Sambo, get back over here!” More than that, she seems to suggest that this is well understood.

Having low expectations of a particular race, isn’t that kind of the definition of racism?
