She is absolutely correct. This is funny because it is exactly what Lord Tywin Lannister tells his grandson Joffrey Lannister in Game of Thrones. Joffrey angrily tells someone that he is the king and they should do what he says. Tywin corrects him by saying ‘if you have to tell someone that you are the king, you are no true king.’ Being a king means understanding power. Power simply means mind control. I believe the Latin meaning of government is control over the mind. That’s why dictators burn books and use propaganda because they want the public aligned with the agenda of the state. The more subtle the mind control, the more powerful you are. That’s why the Christian church was an interesting idea because if people were all unified in the supremacy of God’s law, they could live in harmony and prosperity. Unfortunately, that has been subverted over the years so nobody trusts Christianity anymore. They view it as a den of snakes.
